Japan Trip: Day 4

Here's a solo picture of the Golden Temple. It's a really beautiful place, which is why this picture turned out well. I actually took this picture...I'm really surprised how well it turned out.
이사진 은 금색성당 입니다. 금색성당이 아주 예쁜 곳 입니다. 저는 이사진을 정말 찍었어요.

Here I am with my friend Kaori at the Golden Temple in Kyoto. It's kind of nice but people aren't allowed inside, so for all I know on the inside it could look exactly like my apartment...though probably not. At this temple I bought a good luck charm that's supposed to give me good luck in all my ventures. There were some really specific charms so I just got universal good luck...to cover all the bases.

While my friend and I were wandering around in Kyoto, trying to find some old style house, we came across this shrine. While my friend was looking at her map, trying to find where we were suppose to go, I took some pictures. The whole shrine was over-run with flocks of pigeons. I was kind of freaked out by them when they chase you because they want your peas (of which I had none). I was kind of glad when we got out of there.

Um...the paper on that tree are fortunes. I guess when you get your fortune told, after you read it you are supposed to tie it to a tree, though I'm not really sure of the rationale behind this.

This is another pagoda somewhere in Kyoto. It was kind of cool because there were numberous swans and coy in the water around this thing. There was a sign that said the swans would bite you if you went to close to them...I would believe it because the swans were very big.

Here are Kaori and I at an old style Japanese house. We weren't allowed to take pictures except for the garden. So here's a picture of us in front of the garden. I'm not sure why I look like I'm about to laugh. Anyhow the people who owned/ran the house also made kimono there...or maybe just cloth for kimono...I wasn't really sure. I wish I could have taken some pictures of that stuff, but like I said I was only allowed this one picture.

This is a pacchinco hall. It's some kind of weird gambling game in Japan. Anyhow the giraffe on top is telling all who view, "Have....sweet dreams baby." Words to live by.
