컵라면 (Cup Ramen)

Ah 라면 (or as it is known in America, ramen). In America, ramen is the foodstuff of poor college students, however here in Korea it's a pretty common food product for everyone. Additionally in America, where you can buy 1,900 kinds of chicken flavored ramen (in addition to other types), in Korea you would be hard pressed to find a flavor other than "Spicy Taste." Even the ramen that is not explicitly spicy will still be a spicy ramen.


辛라면. This is most popular brand of Korean ramen. (2005-02-05)


牛肉湯. This is allegedly a beef soup. Apparently "beef" means a dry disc of pepperoni like meat by-product. As for the taste, there is little difference between the spicy taste of 辛라면 and this 牛肉湯.
