Livin' it up in Shinchon
Well, I spent last night in my new home in Shinchon (신촌). Darrell also is now dwelling in Shinchon as well, so to celebrate our new homesteads, we, along with Darrell's friend Becca (she was in his Korean class in America, and is now an exchange student here), hit some brew houses as well as a noraebang (노래방). We got our song on! We mustly rocked out to Beatles, Madonna / Brittney Spears, and bad 80's hard rock. Aw hells yeah! Check out the pictures of this events.

Here I am in Shinchon eating some corn with some random dude. I was eating corn on the streets near my new house and had Darrell take my picture, when this bonus Korean guy eating corn wanted to be photographed also. It's pretty awesome picture for randomness.

I'm rollin' with Darrell up in Shinchon. Don't step to us or you gonna get smacked bitch!

Who's rollin'? Me and my corn...that's who!

Darrell's Sweet Sweet Buns.

Here's Darrell pontificating about something to his friend Becca. They went to school together in the states and now are both in Korea for various reasons. She's studying at Ewha, and Darrell's being Darrell in Korea.

Here I am rockin' out in Shinchon. Darrell and I went with his lady friend drinking, and then to noraebang. Darrell and I rocked an awesome duet on Ozzy Osborne's "Crazy Train." (see also the picture of Darrell with no shirt in the My Friends section). We each scored 100 (out of a possible 100). My guess was the score came purely from stage presence. In addition to a lack of a shirt, and microphone spinning, there were jump kicks, and high fives. AWESOME!

This is Darrell rockin' out to Ozzy's "Crazy Train." We sang this a duet and got way to into it. In addition to Darrell becoming topless, I did a jump kick off a table into the noraebang machine. Oh...we each score 100. We win! 우리 勝했어!!!

Arbitrary capitalization aside, this sign is a comentary on Korean society. Notice how it pretty much lists any genre of music that a young person might be into. That is pretty much Korea. If asked a question such as "What music do you like," most Koreans (every Korean I've met) will answer with "I like all kinds of music." No you don't...just be honest. I won't be offended if you don't like the same music I do. This club needs to learn the same lesson.
