짱구야!

Jjang-gu
So yesterday after work I went with U-rim to purchase myself some new dress shoes...at this point I'd wish I'd taken a picture of them. Just so all could see what horrific shoes I'd been wearing not because I'm unable to purchase new ones, but because I was too damn lazy. Suffice it to say had they been Converse they would have been held together with duct tape. Anyhow my new kicks are pretty awesome, but better than that was the shirt I got...or U-rim got for me. I am now the proud owner of a 짱구 (Jjang-gu) t-shirt. What the crap is 짱구 (Jjang-gu) you ask....I turn your attention to the picture above. It's a comic book the originated in Japan about a kindergarten student (Jjang-gu), and the insane things he does. It falls somewhere between a very clever book that shows the foolishness of adults and an illustrated equivelent of "pull my finger." Anyhow I started reading it in Korean, since it's fairly easy to read and still is good practice for me. Anyhow it quickly became my favorite comic / television show (much to the chagrin of U-rim). And now, being the dork that I am, I own a t-shirt. Man what a random human being I am.
