Old School Anger

So it's been awhile since I rapped at ya. Anyhow, I teach 6 different classes of students, and of those classes there is but one class I loath. Anyhow I met with them today, and let me say, all they have all the worst characteristics of students. They are slow, apathetic toward learning, wild, annoying, and lazy. The model students! I've tried to be their buddy, I've tried bribary, I've tried threats, and I've tried selling out and doing what they want...and nothing! Anyhow today I got my yell on at them...Kid's College Style™ (look at Nov. 2003 entries if you want to know what this is), but that didn't really do anything...so I've pretty much given up on them. They don't want to learn, and I don't want to yell, so there's not a lot I can really do. I'll go in, teach the minimum material allocated in the lesson plans...if they listen and learn, great! If not...well I've tried everything I can to make them pay attention, and I'm not going to waste my time anymore. This decision aside, I reallly need to get my drink on when I got home, so in the spirit of doing things old school, I downed a bottle of 소주 (soju [cheap korean vodka]). Well now that I got that off my chest I present unto you Seoul: City of Garbage Episode 1!!!!

Since my arrival in Seoul I've been amazed at the garbage generated and the way it is disposed of. So for your enjoyment, I bring unto you garbage!

Here's a picture of a Korean style garbage can...you know piles of trash on the street.

The garbage receptical in front of my apartment. This is where I'm supposed to dump my trash for collection. Somewhere in that pile is trash I generated.

A roadside trash pile. This is one day's worth of trash (in a semi-commercial area). Check out the fucking pine tree branches in the pile (lower right hand side).
