Happy Valentine's Day

So today happens to be Valentine's Day. Back in the States this is a time when men with significant others try to find the perfect gift, stress about dinner reservations, and spend entirely too much money all so they can get laid. Here in Korea things work a little differently.
Korea too has Valentine's Day, only here Valentine's Day is entirely on the shoulders of women. You see Valentine's Day is the day women give chocolates to the men they love. The men just have to sit back and wait for the ladies to come calling. The men, for that part, are supposed to return the favor a month later on "White Day."
So today I collected some chocolates from some of the girls in classes, but that's all the chocolate I'm going to recieve. The other day I was told by U-rim that she had no time to buy me chocolate, and offered as a substitution 탕수육 (sweet and sour pork) and beer. She didn't have to ask twice...since the replacement was far superior to the original item.
So anyhow I need to get ready for some food, beer, and other Valentine's Day gifts. Take care people and be sure to show your significant other some love. ♥
