Mall Rage

My friend in America, the legendary Pete Turner, had a serious problem with malls and with just reason. His biggest problem with malls was the fact that people there walked around like they had their lunch in their shoes. This would induce serious rage in my friend (who would only travel to the mall when absolutely neccessary), a rage he dubbed "mall rage."
Today I traveled Kyobo Bookstore, which is like the biggest bookstore in Seoul. I had to pick up a book for my students and picked up a collect of 17th century Korean poetry for myself.

My man, 이순신 (Yi Sun-shin) outside the Kyobo Bookstore.

Anyhow at Kyobo I suffered a mall rage attack. After making my purchases it took me like 5 minutes, to move a distance of 100 yards. People were walking so incredibly slow. Worse than slow walk was the fact that people would stop in the middle of the walkway and just have conversations....come on people move it!
I then realized that here in Seoul, it's not just shopping areas where people move incredibly slow, it's everywhere. Subway stations, the streets, sidewalks, palaces, ect. So to those of you who suffer from Mall Rage frequently and are planning a trip to Korea, consider this fair warning.
