Rock Show: 엘, 아마추어증폭기, 눈뜨고코베인

Another Friday night, another indie rock jam session. Tonight's bill at Baram featured 엘 (El), 아마추증폭기 (Amature Amplifier), and 눈뜨고코베인 (Open The Eyes and Cut The Nose).


El. I'd never heard, or heard of these guys before attending this show. I was pretty impressed with their jams. For those of you with knowledge of Korean indie rock, they kind of sound like the band Nell...only more atmospheric.


El rockin' me like a hurricane!


아마추어증폭기 (Amature Amplifier). Watch me show how indie I am as I name check not one, but two "outsider" musicians in me review of this guy. He kind of rocked Jandek's style of music where the voice was used as an instrument, but the songs were very similar to Wesley Willis in that of the 10 or so songs played, they bulk of them used one of three chord progressions.


Like the above mentioned artists, Amature Amplifier was tolerable in small doses. In my opinion the set went on too long.


Ah 눈뜨고코베인! These guys are quickly becoming one of my favorite bands. They mix psychedelic rock with new wave, and put on a kick ass show.
