Rock Show: Mongoose, 눈뜨고 코베인, Peterpan Complex

Today after work I headed over to Soundholic to catch an assortment of bands I've seen several times before...whatever it's awesome. Here are some pictures of the awesomeness. Korean indie rock for you kids.

Your friends and mine, Mongoose! Mongoose are really awesome, and the bass player does like Eddie Van Halen guitar solos on his bass.

Mongoose always kill cobras...unless they are rockin' out on the bass.

Mongoose's drummer. He kind of looks like my brother's friend. Dude rocked crazy disco beats. Totally awesome!

Mongoose's frontman...I believe his name is Mongo.

Next up was 눈뜨고 코베인. This appearance marked the third time I've seen this band which is a new record for seeing a band that I didn't know someone in personally. (The record was previously held by Queens of the Stone Age).

Nunco!

Rocktabulous!

Nunco's keyboardist. Don't tell U-rim, but I think I have a crush on her...then again their choice in clothing is fairly interchangeable...but then again again U-rim doesn't play keyboards for a psychadelic / new wave band!

Check out the bassist's footwear. Those are friggin' converse boots. How awesome is that?!

The guitarist sings. In the three times I've seen them this was the first show I heard him sing during. I mean he didn't even have a mic at any other show for backing vocals, and here he was singing lead.

Double the mics...double the rockjin!

Next up Peterpan Complex...now tied with 눈뜨고 코베인 at three times. Let's check some pictures shall we?

Mr. Jeon Ji Han serenading us.

Rock! Rock On!

Apparently since the last time I saw these guys they got a new bassist. His shirt was super low cut and and he didn't have glasses, unlike their previous bass player.

Rock out buddy!

The least smiling-est female drummer in the Korean indie rock scene. Her hair is awesome though.

GEEETAR!!!

Play that fuckin' guitar man!

"Is it time to go home yet?"

"Time to go home!"

And it was time to go home. The thing I like about shows here, is that I can check out a show, eat some fish cakes, walk home about half a mile, and still make it home by 10:15...and watch some crappy movie where Martin Lawerence is in the middle ages.
