Haircut, Robots, and Almond Pizza

So after learning about my changing schedule at work on Wednesday, I went into work yesterday to learn that one of my two bosses will be leaving Korea in December. Of my two bosses, the one who is leaving is the one I liked better. She is more laid back and not as in my face.
So after work yesterday, I met U-rim and went and got a haircut. Woohoo. Here are before and after pictures. I think that my hair is a little too short now, but U-rim and the lady at the convinent store near my house both said it looked better...so what do I know.

Before (Nov. 3, 2004)

After (Nov. 4, 2004)

After finishing getting my cut, U-rim proclaimed her desire to have some pizza, so it was off to Mr. Pizza! I've mentioned on several occassions the odd pizza toppings that exist here in Korea, but last night's pizza defied explaination.

After pizza time, it was shopping time. We first wandered about in Hongdae, since U-rim wanted to get some clothes. She purchased some socks, some boots, and a coat (not that you really care). After shopping for a while she stated, "We need some robots." Let me repeat that. She said, "We need some robots." Holy crap! Anyhow we headed off to the robot / imported Japanese naked lady toy shop I'd found near Ehwa, and purchased some crazy robots. It was pretty weird. At the robot store, U-rim was more insane about purchasing robots than I was. "Oh look at this!" "What is this thing!"

Some robots that we bought.

After buying some robots we headed home. The weather was lovely, so we took advantage of it, and instead of taking a bus or taxi back to our apartment, we walked. It was an outstanding end to a great evening.
