알까봐 (Alkkabwa)

So today is Easter and as special treat to you I bring you 알까봐, a crazy Korean egg shaped treat. So join me as we take a look at the magical world of 알까봐!


Whoa 알까봐! Is this Korea's answer to a Cadbury Cream Egg, the Holy Grail of Easter candy?


Well it's missing the lovely designed imprinted on the egg, and there was no ooze on the outside of the egg...I got worried.


WTF is this? That is no cream...Cadbury or otherwise.


There's an egg inside the egg? If I was a hippie burn out I'd think that was kind of deep, but since I'm not I didn't. I did, however, wonder what was inside. So I cracked the yellow plastic egg open and found...


A rhinosaur! Inside the egg was a little wooden rhino / dino toy on a string. Pretty awesome stuff for a wacky hollow chocolate egg.

So there you have it: hollow chocolate egg with a yellow plastic egg and toy hidden within. Seems random enough to become a popular treat for an equally random holiday. And as a holiday bonus I give you Jesus Dress Up. Enjoy!
